The television tower «Ostankino» in Moscow measures 560 meters, making it the highest in the world. In 1967, for the first time ever a broadcasting station was built, containing all the technical and editorial rooms and studios. In the 90s, in the course of the «Perestroika», the transmission of new publicizing youth programs like «Points Of View» or «The Topic» from «Ostankino» began, soon becoming vastly popular among viewers of all age groups.
The design of this chronograph of the 1990 series very vividly transmits the spirit of the young generation of that time. The watch draws attention with a large steel case featuring a glass-back and ist «fresh face». On the guilloched dial the «sun beams» radiated from the centre contrast distinctly with the striking scales of seconds and minutes on both sides. The watch has a central second hand, a calendar and a shockproof movement; water-resistance 5 atm.
